Rass Sims name at  birth was Chester Ross Sims and people started calling him 
Rassest after Bur Rabbit. was told to us by his sister-in-law Nocal Sims. so 
people called in rass sims. has had a hard life he did the best he knew how 
his father William Sims died when he was ten years old and he had to help his 
mother rasied the other kids. he is very much missed. but at lesase he at 
peace and not surffing from the cancer that he had. He is missed by his kids 
and grandkids. He never got to get much schooling, as a child., But he was 
well liked by people. They always said you couldn"t find a harder worker then
Rass Sims. He farmed and skilled logs all his life. 
 My grandmother Bethel was a great woman, she help everybody, who need help. I 
had two mothers, My mother was the oldest of the 10 kids they had so she 
helped work to take care of the other ones. So most people thought that my 
brothers and i were always with my grandparents so people thought we belong to 
Rass and Bethel Sims. The Cross were my father people and they came from 
Walker Co.,Al. and Arksas. You will bw surprize who they are kind to. 
Everybody came to get my grandmother(Nanny) to make them quilts, she did 
little stitches and they lasted for ever. She could look at something and make 
a pattern from it. I love the quilts she make for me. I miss her and think of 
her ever day. My Nanny was always their for me.
